The
Nexus Drive-A-Way™
is your ultimate solution to completely silence your hard disk drive. This
internal aluminum hard disk enclosure is suitable for 2.5" and 3.5" hard
disk drives, IDE and SATA. The Drive-A-Way mounts into a
5.25" bay in your pc case.
The
inside of the Drive-A-Way™
is fully covered with multi frequency noise absorption material to absorb
any noise or rattling coming from your disk drive. And to secure a stable
operation of your disk and to absorb any unwanted vibrations the hard disk
drive is mounted on unique soft rubber shock absorbers.
The
cooling capacity of this enclosure is tremendous and sufficient to be able
to handle the newest disk up to 15.000 RPM. Because of the thermal
pad conductivity surface on the inside of the lid of the Drive-A-Way™
the heat generated by the hard disk is dissipated to the aluminum enclosure
perfectly.
Silence and excellent cooling for your hard disk finally combined in one
product!

Drive-A-Way™
elements and techniques:
Let's take a closer look at the
elements and techniques used to make the Drive-A-Way so successful.
Significant elements of the Drive-A-Way enclosure are the unique shock
absorbers, the heat dissipating interface and the noise absorption material.
- Shock absorbers
- The Nexus
Drive-A-Way™ is equipped with 4 unique shock absorbers. These absorbers
are made of soft rubber and will absorb any resonance or vibration from
the hard disk. This is a unique element to guarantee stability for your
Hard Disk drive.
|
|
|
The rubber shock absorbers are made of
soft rubber and because of the circular design it is a simple yet very
effective solution to absorb any vibration. |
 |
|
|
Two brackets are mounted against the side of the hard disk.
And through these brackets the hard disk drive is mounted onto the rubber
shock absorbers. |
|
|
Heat dissipation interface
Once the hard disk is fixed inside the
Drive-A-Way™ you can close the lid of the
enclosure. When you close the lid you will compress the multi frequency
noise absorption material fixed on the lid so the hard disk will be in
direct contact with the aluminum enclosure. The two elements that get in
contact with the hard disk have a thermal pad conductivity surface to
improve heat dissipation. |
|
The multi frequency noise absorption material of the lid
will be compressed when you mount the lid. This way the with a thermal pad
covered conductivity surfaces will be in direct contact with the top of the
hard disk drive. Heat will be perfectly transferred from the disk to the
aluminum enclosure. |
|
|
Multi frequency noise
absorption material
The Drive-A-Way™
is fully fitted with multi frequency noise absorption material. This
material has been selected as it has proven to absorb hard disk activity
frequencies best. No element has been left uncovered, so the hard disk is
fully surrounded by the absorption material. |
|
The fine absorption material has a
crystal like structure and is ideal for absorbing frequencies produced by
hard disk drives. |
